林冠英说为了要防止“槟城”的字眼被盗用，今后如果有人要用到“槟城”的字眼就要向槟州政府做出申请。他说，一些非政府团体滥用“槟州”字眼对外募捐，而所筹获的钱并不属于州政府，任何问题发生，州政府都必须承担。
他披露，州政府依然会给予民间团体使用“槟城”字眼，只要他们向槟州政府作出申请，并告诉当局用意何在。
好伟大的州首长。侠客想建议林首长，不如把汽车也禁了？为了每天都有的交通意外，死亡人数的攀生，为了槟州人民的安全。请你把汽车，摩多车也禁了吧？让那些要用到汽车的人做出申请，等批准后才可以驾。
如果能够这样做，掠夺匪就不能犯案了。也不会有人会想要抢劫了，因为强了不能逃啊！就算有车，也有他们的申请书啊！捉人也容易点。也很环保，减少二氧化碳的释放。行人的安全，交通意外没了。这真的是个完美的城市啊！
为了要减少自杀，杀人的案件，请把刀，剑，矛，什么锋利能至伤人的东西都一并禁掉。要用就向州政府申请。这样刑事罪也会比较低了。林冠英，你说好不好？

Sorry to say that I am DEFINITELY NOT a DAP supporte, in fact this is a state affair and nothing to do with DAP, that the Penang CM YB Lim GE has his points in certain ways.
i tried the Penang Laksa in KL some where near Petaling Street and some where PJ. Well, it's just not the taste you like if you have tried the ones in most of the Chinese foodcourts in Penang, needless to say other types of Penang dishes. Likewise, I tried the so-called Kajang Saty in KL and other places, I can beg with you, for RM 0.10 only, haha, you would not go for the second time.
Maybe he didn't phrase the sentences properly and had caused some confusion and unhappiness, but then if some how there is a curb to the use and abuse of the name so that the good name of Penang food can be maintained and sustained, why not?
Definitely, this issue is totally different from road accidents etc!

Kg Folk ：Did I mentioned this is DAP problem?? I think not and I agreed with you that this is state affair not DAP problem. I also agreed that there are some people trying to confuse other by using the name "Penang" but we cannot banned the freedom to use just because some people misused it. It totally like "because the accident rate is high then we banned the use of car".
We should enforce the law more tighten & strict so that people are not misused it. Then the most important is the emblem of Penang & the flag of Penang not the word "Penang". Will you think that "Penang Chess Competition" is organised by Penang State Gorvernment just because the word Penang there? Do you think we should have our freedom to use Penang in such events?

一个关乎名誉，避免许多欺名盗世之徒，以州政府或槟城名义去招摇撞骗。如果可以管制，我们以后碰到了也会比较安心一些吧。
当然首长又没有说，申请肯定被驳回，干嘛您那么敏感和跳脚？
车祸死亡率，是民生问题，还是请我们的道德至上的总会长不要表达失望和遗憾，干些有意义的事啦。
许兄：看来不知是我写博的功力提升了还是降低了。我想说的是，如果只是为了所谓保护“槟城”这名字滥用就让全部人不能自由的用，那么我们是否也可以用“为了保护人民的生命，禁止汽车上路”呢？
是不是应该选用法律的途径来对付那些滥用的人呢？你可以去问一问看有那些国家或州或省的名字需要申请才能用的？

还有，申请了之后就不怕被滥用吗？到时不是更容易的让人民相信那些欺名盗世之徒吗？他们会说“你看连州政府都批准的，我们是不会骗人的“。你敢担保他们不会骗人吗？最有效的是如何去执法把那些滥用的人捉起来啊！
